A discussion of synthesis technologies outside of the subtractive paradigm

This workshop picks up where subtractive synthesis leaves off. It assumes a basic understanding of the tools used in subtractive synthesis, such as oscillators, envelopes, filters, and LFOs. Get ready to talk about the techniques and technologies, used by FM, granular, wavetable, additive, and more. This will be an hour, long introduction to what comes next beyond subtractive synthesis. and it’s a great introduction to our sound design course, The Synthesist Masterclass, that dives into these topics in depth.
