Our artist-led classes are never pre-recorded. In our classes you talk and ask questions. Recording lessons stifles creativity and encourages people not to show up ready to contribute. We don't distribute recordings, so plan to show up on a schedule!
SMALL CLASSES
Music production schools needn't be big and impersonal. We think 8 students is about right. Large classes are basically just like watching recordings. We want people to make friends, ask questions, and take part in a dialogue.

It takes a village and we are growing. We are constantly adding studios and Beat Kitchen family to our network. We are even expanding into other creative disciplines — and your membership will eventually open the doors to all of them.

Who we are
Beat Kitchen feeds creatives. We offer live online music production classes taught by artist-instructors.
Background
Beat Kitchen began with a vision: to provide a place for creatives to play with their food. We help musical mad scientists, hungry beat makers, and curious rookies learn a broad and plastic set of music production skills. Our teachers are like our students: talented, intellectually curious, and deeply conscientious. We are continuous learners. We are experts and beginners. Some of us are misfits and dreamers. We are unified by our desire to learn and explore. We are a community of artists and innovators who want to elevate the craft of music production and change the discussion around it.

Not only do we believe in giving back, we are doing it ourselves. We are fully bootstrapped: we are self-funded so we get to choose when and how we donate our time. We recognize there are systemic imbalances in our industry and in the creative world as a whole. If you can't afford a program, we still really want you to apply.
